Folding bed rails for adults12/17/2023 Sleep Number beds (there are many different models &mdash call us if you are not sure).Some bed systems that physically cannot accept rails are: Most rails have either a board attached which goes under the mattress or straps which must have unobstructed access to the other side of the bed. There are a few bed types where rails cannot be installed. Be sure to read the descriptions for all pertinent dimensions and information. Many of our rails will fit beds from Twin to King. If a loved one suffers from dementia and is quite active will they be confused and try to climb over the rails? Rather than protecting the patient this could actually harm them more.Before purchasing a bedrail for use in a facility it is important to contact the facility and determine what can and cannot be installed.Is there a caregiver to raise and lower the rail or will the patient need to do that themselves?.Will the rail be used as an assist to help them get in and out of bed or is it to keep them in bed during the night? (or both?).Do they want the rail to be one sided or two?.What kind of bed will the rail be used on? Is there a box spring and mattress? Is it an adjustable bed? No proof of your disability need be shown to any party at any time. In order to waive VAT on your purchase, the government requires a simple self declaration to be made as to the nature of your disability at the time of ordering. Important Note: It does NOT include a frail elderly person who is otherwise able-bodied or any person who is only temporarily disabled or incapacitated, such as with a broken limb. with a condition which the medical profession treats as a chronic sickness, such as diabetes or.with a physical or mental impairment which has a long-term and substantial adverse effect upon his/her ability to carry out everyday activities.
